The tour will kick off in Perth in February 2017, before moving on to Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne in March.
“G’day, it’s me,” Adele, 28, said in a handwritten note posted on her Facebook page.
“I was wondering if after 10 years in this game you’d finally like to meet me.
“Yep! I am coming Down Under.
“In the round, outdoors and upgrading myself to stadiums.”
The 10-time Grammy winner captioned her Facebook post: “Thinking of you, New Zealand. Stay tuned for more news.”
Adele, who is currently nearing the end of a 10-month tour to mark her album 25, has previously said she gets “nervous” about performing on tour.
“I’d still like to make records, but I’d be fine if I never heard [the applause] again. I’m on tour simply to see everyone who’s been so supportive. I don’t care about money,” Adele told Vanity Fair earlier this month.
